I am solving this by setting resolv.conf as I wish and then make the file unwritable.

I am using vanilla Ubuntu 9.04 with n-m. I have read that n-m supports
resolvconf, but unfortunately it overwrites /etc/resolv.conf directly (I
tried with wlan connection). This causes problems to me as I cannot use e.g.
vpnc from scripts conveniently. Is there any config setting which should be
set to utilize the resolvconf instead of writing resolv.conf directly?

If I understood correctly the main work is done by nm-dhcp-client.action.
But there is no documentation about it...
