Any of those addresses are fake ones from either pppd or the modem because of some internal error or miscommunication. I don't think anybody has figured out yet why. In any case, NM 0.7.2 and recent NM 0.8 snapshots should detect those address and substitute known-good servers for them (4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2). Not optimal, but at least you can get online. I see this occasionally with T-Mobile US and my Huawei stick, but I've never seen it with Option devices for example.
