I've pushed 0.8.1 beta1 recently and 0.8.1 is on release track with critical bug fixes and translation updates only. I've created branches for the release in NM and NM applet. Likewise, ModemManager is not receiving any new feature work until a 0.4 release comes out. Both will be this month I hope. It's about time for new testing candidates for both of them. In fact, I'll tag ModemManager 0.4-beta1 today.
