Just checked: no "system connection" is active. Moreover, The configuration is lost everytime I reboot (maybe I can check if this is true even only exiting kde). Interesting enough, no "kde demon" is listed in kdewallet connections, even if in networkmanager conf dialog I've chosen " safe (encrypted)" I was used to see that connection with previous version of nm. I've also looked in .kde/apps and config to see anything strange, but no files used by networkmanagement were present. > > > >> - as described here, https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392409, > >> nm uses his own connection names: in the same situation 0.8.x allowed > >> to enter any name for the connection. > > > Ifnet causes some problems in my Gentoo, so I always disable it. > I'll try that asap. > > >> - probably a setup problem, even I can't find where to look: nm-applet > >> is always started: I'm using kde applet so this is a problem for me. > > > > Check if file /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop exists, if it exists then > remove it. Right on the spot, thanks :) -- Fabio _______________________________________________ networkmanager-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/networkmanager-list
