I've never really used the gui you are looking at so I don't know a way through the GUI. Also I'm only speculating however my guess is that since this is Fedora 20 the line NM_CONTROLLED="no" has been added to the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-DEVICENAME Change that to yes and I'd presume you'd see the device again.
