Could you do the following to get supplicant debug logs in this case? They can be enabled by dbus, but it's sometimes easier to just: 1) mv /usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant / 2) killall -TERM wpa_supplicant 3) /wpa_supplicant -dddtu (and redirect to your favorite location) 4) retry the connection 5) mail/attach the supplicant output Dan > - dmesg: > usb 2-3: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci > usb 2-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0bda, idProduct=8171 > usb 2-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 > usb 2-3: Product: RTL8188S WLAN Adapter > usb 2-3: Manufacturer: Manufacturer Realtek > usb 2-3: SerialNumber: 00e04c000001 > r8712u: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you > have been warned. > r8712u: Staging version > r8712u: register rtl8712_netdev_ops to netdev_ops > usb 2-3: r8712u: USB_SPEED_HIGH with 4 endpoints > usb 2-3: r8712u: Boot from EFUSE: Autoload OK > usb 2-3: r8712u: CustomerID = 0x0000 > usb 2-3: r8712u: MAC Address from efuse = [...] > usb 2-3: r8712u: Loading firmware from "rtlwifi/rtl8712u.bin" > usbcore: registered new interface driver r8712u > r8712u 2-3:1.0 wlp0s4f1u3: renamed from wlan0 > systemd-udevd[363]: renamed network interface wlan0 to wlp0s4f1u3 > r8712u 2-3:1.0 wlp0s4f1u3: 1 RCR=0x153f00e > r8712u 2-3:1.0 wlp0s4f1u3: 2 RCR=0x553f00e > IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlp0s4f1u3: link is not ready > ... > > > - /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/IBSS: > [connection] > id=IBSS > uuid=... > type=wifi > autoconnect=false > zone=public > > [wifi] > ssid=IBSS > mode=adhoc > band=bg > channel=1 > mac-address=[...] > security=802-11-wireless-security > > [ipv6] > method=ignore > ip6-privacy=0 > > [ipv4] > method=shared > > > - journalctl: > Starting Network Manager... > <info> NetworkManager (version 0.9.10.0-5.git20140704.fc21) is starting... > <info> Read config: /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and conf.d: > keyfile-plugin.conf > <info> WEXT support is enabled > <info> Loaded plugin keyfile: (c) 2007 - 2013 Red Hat, Inc.
