The number is the time in seconds since the epoch of the lease expiry. > How would monotonic time handle suspend/resume? Good question, I recall that monotonic time freezes while suspended. Any solution needs to take that problem into account as well as the issue I see when wall clock time goes backwards. This cannot be the first time such a time problem needed to be solved. I wonder what the standard pattern is for this?
