Just tested and it works ok:
(1) WIFI connection established without subject restrictions.
(2) Manually added "subject-match=wrongname" to connection config file.
(3) Config reloaded and connection restarted:
# nmcli con reload
# nmcli con up <UUID>
(4) WIFI connection is restarted and not established because of subject
restrictions.
