Hi Neurodebian admins,
(Hi Yarik and Michael ;) )
I am writing to ask you about the package python-sklearn, for ubuntu
trusty 14.04 LTS.
Is there a specific reason for not having v0.17 but only 0.16.1 ? (see below)
Am I doing something wrong?
nope. Just that for this recent sklearn we need freshier cython than
available in 14.04 and I didn't want to provide backport of cython since
it could lead to some other packages failing to build. And I haven't
yet implemented "pre-cythonization" as I have done e.g. for pandas
package or simply reusing shipped by upstream .c files -- for Debian
proper they had to be rebuilt. Now that I know there is a demand
- I will do it in some upcoming evening ;)
Excellent, thanks!
Emanuele
