Err, it looks the same on my RH 6 system, except that the link works. 

Can you show the contents of your srclib/apr-util/libaprutil.la file?
Does srclib/apr-util/.libs/libaprutil.a exist?
What environment is this (e.g., "RH 7")?
What version of libtool is this?
