I'm not sure if this is an "expert" question, but since I'm still
installing I'll send it to "newbie".
I have an old DECpc with a DE201 (EtherWorks 2) NIC card that just
doesn't want to be recognized. The autoprobe complains that the card
can't be found on the system.
I've run diagnostics via DOS and the card is working correctly, and I've
figured out that the card is set to IRQ5 and 0x300. When I use "io=0x300
irq=5" on the configuration line, it accepts the card but doesn't seem
to find the network later on.
Am I doing anything obviously wrong? Does anyone know of a hardware
incompatibility? The card is on the Mandrake hardware list, so I'm not
sure what to do next.
