I'm having trouble getting my parallel port to function correctly. I am
running Mandrake 5.3 with the 2.2.1 kernel.
Running printtol it warns me that no /dev/lp0, /dev/lp1, or /dev/lp2 were
detected. Under /proc/parport there are no entries. I have compiled
parallel printer support into my kernel as well as parallal device
support. I have tried setting my BIOS parallel port mode to Normal, ECP,
EPP, and ECP+EPP with no apparent difference. The default parallel port
IRQ (as reported by my bios) is 7. I noticed in /proc/interrupts 7 is
listed as assigned to nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!
