Hey, I had the same problem many a time....

What you need to do is look in your /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and make sure that
the insdmod line is there....example:

insmod /location/of/module/driver.o

I tried for hours upon hours to get my card to work properly and I kept
getting the same bedamned messaged:
"Delaying eth0 initialization"

So, I'm lending a helping hand and trying to save you the headache I had.
Hope it works and if it doesn't tell me and I'll help you figure it out.
