First I'd like to say I'm very impressed with Mandrake. It looks great
and autoinstalls lots of good stuff. As a complete newbie I have a few
problems however.
1. I really need a real colour xterm and the one in kde doesn't work
properly. Is there a trick to this, can I get it to work or is it
because it's an emulation and not a real xterm. If the latter is the
case, is it easy to switch to fvwm temporarily, use an xterm and then
switch back?
2. I had a lot of trouble installing my i740 X-server. [Well, it
installed, it just didn't work to start with.] Is there a mistake in
Precision Insight's instructions? X-configurator was totally baffled,
looking for a non-existent file, while I had to let xf86config reset the
symbolic link and write to /etc/XF86Config instead of where Precision
Insight said.
3. Can someone tell me if when you upgrade to Netscape 4.51 as per
Gael's instructions it will still find the icon on the desktop
automatically and work from there, and also whether it is fully
compatible with the kde mail client so that there are no more error
messages when using communicator. Is it possible to just use
communicator for mail without kmail jumping in when you click on a link
in Netscape?
Thanks in advance, Tom
