Hi,
I've installed Linux Mandrake 5.3 on my computer a few days ago. Before, I
had Red Hat Linux 5.1 installed and I managed to get X working.
Unfortunately, I don't get X (KDE) working right now. If I start X
('startx') my screen gets black and I have to reboot. If I try to start KDE
('startkde') I get a message that 'I cannot connect to X' and a lot more.
I have tried most configuration-options (via xconfigurator) and I am out of
options right now. Can somebody help me here?
My display adapter is a Diamond Stealth 64 (765), S3 Trio 64V + PCF and my
monitor is a Targa 14'' NI, Model nr. TM 3610 PNL. I don't have the manual
anymore so while configurating I chose the safe options.
