I've tried Gnome with RH6 (which, thankfully, also includes KDE 1.1)
Definitely not worth it at this point, IMHO. KDE does things in a more
intuitive fashion. It flat out runs faster, too. Gnome set up the desktop
with Icons that didn't seem to work. Of course, the implementation of KDE on
RH6 is different in that most of the default Icons you see in Mandrake aren't
available.
I'm just waiting for the new release of Mandrake, so that I can get rid of RH6
on my system......
