I installed Mandrake 5.3 with no problem. KDE works beautifully. I
grabbed
all the 2.2.5mdk kernel binaries and all the recommended RPMS. After
installation and reboot, I fired up KDE there was no text. All the
graphics and icons are there but the terminal windows, fonts, and
regular
text are all dark blue.
I even reinstalled Mandrake, reapplied all the updates and the same
thing
happened. I have no idea why it is doing this. I uninstalled all the
recommended RPMS and everything still turns out dark blue. I've tried
reconfiguring my X settings to no avail. Any thoughts?
My machine is a P166MMX using an STB128 PCI graphics adapter.
