Numbering of logical drives seems to start at 5--the first logical
drive in the extended partition on your first IDE hard drive would be
/dev/hda5; the second logical drive would be /dev/hda6, etc. I think
you can cat /proc/partitions or something like that to list the
available partitions, but I don't have Linux up right now to check.
