Ok, has anyone installed a recompiled kernel?
Surly someone has. I'm having a lot of problems, RH6/MDK6 does something
wierd, as a typical kernel install doesn't work. Pointing lilo.conf to
/vmlinuz and simply doing a make (b)zlilo doesn't work. It seems to load
that kernel, but it continues to look for the modules in the
/lib/modules/2.2.9-19mdk/ directory, rather then the /lib/modules/2.2.9/
directory like it should.
As I said before, in RH6, this problem was worked around with linuxconf,
simply telling it to install the kernel for you. This does not work in MDK6.
Anyone know why this is happening? How I can fix it? Thanks!
