have you downloaded it as binary ? (the ftp program of Windows is very
stupid)

I downloaded it as an .img file using GoZilla (Win sees it as an actual
image
for some reason). Downloading Mandrake 5.3, and RedHat 6.0, I had no
problem at all with the installation boot disks. It has all become
exasperating
after the days (literally) of downloading to not be able to install.
