Hi- Maybe one of you who are more experienced with linux can help me. I'm having trouble making a connection with kppp--Immediately after making a connection, my modem hangs up. I get to the point where kppp tells me it is logging on, and -boom- hang up. However, I *am* able to make a connection through the PPP config in linuxconf (although I cannot get that connection to disconnect...one problem at a time, eh, unless someone has a suggestion for that one?). I do have kppp setuid and there is no difference when I run it as root. In case it will help, I've attached the log below. Thanks- -alan PPP-log: Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: pppd 2.3.7 started by alan, uid 501 Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: Using interface ppp0 Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1 Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: Hangup (SIGHUP) Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: Modem hangup Jun 19 22:22:18 localhost pppd[670]: Connection terminated.
