Well, here's a secret... if you have shell access, use LYNX if you can ONLY
get it via HTTP, or if you know the FTP address, download it to your shell
account via FTP and then back down to your system. That solves two problems:
1) what else do you do while your system is (pretty much ) tied up
downloading a HUGE file (after all, do you REALLY want to share your
precious bandwidth with something OTHER than that download???) 2) how to
make sure you get it ALL w/o getting kicked off. BTW, it would probably be
best to telnet in after establishing a PPP connection, otherwise you're
still stuck doing nothing while you're downloading the file. ;-)
