I'm trying to install Mandrake 5.2 to a computer that uses a SCSI cd-rom
drive. Every time It gets to the point where it's searching for the SCSI
bus, it hangs. The hard drive stops responding, I can't type anything in,
except the infamous three finger salute. Would it be feasable to remove the
hard drive and put it into another computer that has an IDE drive, and do a
complete install that way, or would it hang up again once I start using the
SCSI drive? My SCSI card is not found on the list, but I found one that it
responds to on there. I have also tried putting in the options myself. All
methods end up responding the same way. Thanks for any help that might be
given.
