Add append="hdX=ide-scsi" to your linux section in lilo.conf
add alias block-major-11 ide-scsi to /etc/conf.modules if you have no
other scsi cd drives.
if you have scsi cd drives add "modprobe ide-scsi" to the bottom of your
rc.local
