Hit the reboot button did we? Enter your root password and type man fsck at the root prompt . It'll give you the manual for the fsck command. I believe you'll need to run fsck -r to repair the disk segments at which point you'll be able to exit the root login (type "logout") and the computer should shutdown and reboot.
