Mine did the exact same thing.. I reinstalled, not just for
that reason though.
You could try hitting ALT-CTRL-KP+ to change resolutions.. or
run
Xconfigurator again if you can get to the prompt. You
probably said yes
to start X on reboot when it first tested X. That means
you cannot get to
the prompt without changing one of yer configs...

Subject: [newbie] after reboot moniter
just "clicks"
i installed Mandrake linux 6.0 onto my
computer today and it worked pretty good, but then i restarted my computer and
instead of going to the desktop my moniter stayed black and i'd hear a bunch
of clicking in my moniter. I have a 19" Proview plug and play moniter, if
anyone knows why this might be happening or what to do their advice would be
greatly appreciated, thank you.
