Open up your file  folder and then click on the G2. bin file.  It should be
self extracting.   If it won't extract then open the file as super user, right
click on the file and go to permissions and check all the blocks giving your
local user permission to use it.  Then go back to local and try to extract it. 
I am still unsuccessful in getting the darn thing to work.
