No it is not. See the name of the modem WIN Modem? That indicates a
Windows-ONLY modem. It uses software to emulate hardware, and it will
likely NOT work with 5x86 Cyrix processors (we just had one come in
to work today with a brand new, in-the-box WinModem and a Cyrix 5x86
processor -- wouldn't work. The driver comes up and says it won't
work on non MMX processors!)

Not necessarily, but quite likely. You REALLY need to get a
non-WinModem though and see what happens....
