AFAIK if the hardware and driver don't support opening multiple PCM streams
for hardware mixing queing sounds is the normal behaviour.
The 'standard' way to solve this in mandrake 8.2 would be to use the KDE
arts soundserver which claims the card and applications should then connect
to the soundserver. HTH,
