Hallo!
/dev/hda and /dev/hdc are IDE Pioner DVD and Aopen RW. Both are DMA33 and
have scsi emulation set.
Running dmesg shows the following:
---------------
PDC20265: chipset revision 2
PDC20265: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
PDC20265: (U)DMA Burst Bit ENABLED Primary PCI Mode Secondary PCI Mode.
ide2: BM-DMA at 0xe400-0xe407, BIOS settings: hde:pio, hdf:pio
ide3: BM-DMA at 0xe408-0xe40f, BIOS settings: hdg:pio, hdh:pio
hda: Pioneer DVD-ROM ATAPIModel DVD-105S 013, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdc: AOPEN CD-RW CRW3248 1.12 20020417, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
---------------
But when reading from CD or recording it takes 100% CPU and everything goes
very slow. It's a fast computer (Athlon 1.2, 512DDR)...
I use xcdroast to record and both reading from CD and recording take all
available CPU.
Thanks in advance! ;)
