[newbie] install modem

boas �I bought one notebook that brings an hamr 5600 modem and installed in it mandrake linux. installed drivers of the smlink site and with mandrake control� center I tried to link it to net with modem, but it was searching the modem during lots of time and nothing happened. so if somebody could tell me what are the way than i have to follow (i�m new in linux)i will be thankfull.   Am�ndio
