I'd like to offer an apology for my tone to daRcmaTTeR and the list. I
posted a message "Problem with updates at end of installation", and got a
bit, well, pissy at daRcmaTTeR's response to me.
On another users tip, I looked back at daRcmaTTeR's posts and see he is not a
typical newbie kicker, but very helpful indeed. Though I scan through the
collected posts every couple of days, I don't usually take the time to note
the sender and had not noticed his history.
In hindsight it might not have been clear I ws not asking for updates, only
commenting on a part of the installer and asking whether I would be missing
anything significant if I blew it off. It may indeed have appeared I was
asking why there were no updates for a beta release.
