The procedure was as follows: Start Menu=>Control Center=>FileBrowsing=>File Associations=>text=>html=>then, in the application list click 'add'. In the application box type in, /usr/bin/opera -newwindow '%u'. Highlight the new entry and move it to the top of the list. Done! All the best.
