Mr. Brinkman,

Thank you for your suggestion. For whatever reason, the icon is no 
longer appearing ... and I haven't even had a chance to try your 
solution. I will file it for future reference.

I had been doing a lot of mucking about to get my  harddrive, floppy, 
zip,and cdrom icons to appear as miniature representations vice blue 
folders when placed as links in a child panel of the kicker. I also have 
a quick browse folder of the /mnt directory but the devices will only 
show up as blue folders.

That's OK though. It was just that irratating reappearing  zip icon that 
was driving me crazy.
