If I follow Mandrake's instructions and do urpmi kernel-2.4.18.7mdk-1-2mdk.i586.rpm I will upgrade the kernel? If I do rpm -ivh kernel-2.4.18.7mdk-1-2mdk.i586.rpm I will install a new kernel which can be used as an alternative OS from the menu? Have I got it? Anne
