When I try setting a HP Laserjet IIp+ up through MDK Control Center it asks
"Please insert the medium named "disc 1 Mandrake Linux 9.0 beta4 Installation
CD (x86) (cdrom1)" on device [/dev/hdc] ". Now, that's fine, except I don't
have that CD, or even the ISO, anymore.
How can I tell what file or package is really needed? I surely, between the
final release and a mirror of Cooker, have whatever file it needs or a newer
version of the whole package.
What I can see in the output window is:
Sep 26 14:01:08 acs-24-154-2-202 drakconf[3806]: ### Program is starting ###
Sep 26 14:01:15 acs-24-154-2-202 drakconf[3816]: ### Program is starting ###
Sep 26 14:01:22 acs-24-154-2-202 printerdrake[3827]: ### Program is starting
###
Sep 26 14:01:26 acs-24-154-2-202 printerdrake[3827]: installed packages
foomatic printer-utils printer-testpages nmap scli gimpprint
So it says things were installed, not installing.
BTW, the printer set up fine through CUPS, but printed only a little
gibberish each page. It works OK under thatwhichshallnotbenamed. So I want
to try it this way.
