And I also fat-finger my keyboard. However that's not what I'm going to ask
about. When I go to install using the shell commands, when I type in
./configure I end up with:
checking for intltool >= 0.21... 0.22 found
checking for perl... /user/bin/perl
checking for a BSD-compatable install.../usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... no
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for style of include used by mak... none
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
Then it dumps me back to my directory. I'm trying to install from the
directory everything's in. My question is, what is $PATH and how do I fix my
problem? Either my previous method of using Package Manager or using the
shell script'll work for me. I need to get used to Linux eventually anyway,
and working purely through a GUI's not going to help me any.
Thanx inadvance.
