Ron, They can most certainly print to the printers I have on my linux laptop. In fact, one of the printers I have installed, they cannot print to it UNLESS they go through my machine! :-)
The printers I am printing to are all HP network printers: LaserJet 5000, LaserJet 2100, Color LaserJet 8500, and a DesignJet 1055CM. Thanks for the suggestion.
