Hi all,
I did an "expert install", and I have a lot of things
installed, and running, that I probably don't really need.
Do I need postfix? or saslauthd? What about netfs? I've
been searching on Google, but can't get definite answers.
The descriptions of what these progs do are pretty sparse,
and cryptic, for the most part...to a newbie at least.
I am not on a network, (besides the internet w/a dialup),
and I don't use my comp as a server. I am the only user.
Most of my time is spent surfing the net, email (pop &
smtp), and doing a bit of word processing.
I will send a "chkconfig --list" output, if someone can
tell me how to get the output of a terminal to a text
file. I'll try a Google on the terminal output>text file
thing. It's likely so simple :-/
