[newbie] How to make a clicked link open in a tabbed Netscape window

How does one make a clicked url link open in a new tabbed window in Netscape. I already have html text files associated to open in Netscape but each time a link is clicked in the KNewsTicker, KDE wants to open an entirely new session/profile of Netscape rather than just simply loading the link into a new tabbed window in the background.
