Hi, Thanks all for the help so far, my Lilo is now floating nicely. I have seen the Xfree86 version 3.3.5 on various FTP sites, as well as the latest servers on the various 'cooker' ftp sites. I see two versions of the Xfree RPM, 3.3.5-1 and 3.3.5-3, I assume I should use the later I can download these via my Win NT box, and then hopefully ftp them across to my linux box. (If I wanted to do direct Win-Linux transfers, what might I use? - ftp, I suppose?) Question: Do the RPM packages know where to install themselves or when I invoke RPM, do I have to tell it where to install - If so, where?
