I think I have adequate storage under my ISP since they are a cable modem
service provider and allow multiple mailboxes for each subscriber. If I
remember correctly, the total box limit is 10 MBs, which turns out to be
quite adequate for my use. I also remove my mail from their SMTP servers on
retrieval, and I am not usually receiving large attachments on a regular
basis, either. For the most part, I have my primary workstation on and
checking mail every three minutes from 6 AM until 10-11 PM. There's a good
chance that I don't leave too much on my ISP's server waiting for me to
download. And as I mentioned before, I seem to have this problem only with
the Mandrake Newbie Listserv.
The fact that you are having (or were having) this problem using a Linux
email program, where I am stuck right now in OE on Win2k, leads me believe
that this probably isn't an incompatibility thing between their listserv
program and the program-O/S I am using.
Weird, huh?

I've had this problem a lot. I think some of it may (or may not) be my ISP.
I
don't think they have mega storage space, and delete (or don't hold" mail
for
me very long. I'm not sure but I think some ISP's impose a size limit on
your
mailbox.
Having said that, I have to say that since I switched to
postfix/fetchmail/procmail instead of just using Kmails' pop3 retrieval, it
seems like I get more mail. It could be subjective though.
