Hi all, Just about to start reloading one of my PC’s which needs to have Win98SE (for the Munchkins games), Win2000Pro (My study - yawn!) and ML 9.0 (FUN!!!) Before I start, a few questions ☺ ….
1. Do I have to load Windoze first?
Generally a good idea. You can do it the other way round, but you'll
then have to set aside a partition (/dev/hda1) for Windows, and you'll
need to reinstall lilo afterwards, as Windows overwrites the boot
sector. Not worth it.
2. If I do have to, will I need to use the advanced install mode for Linux to ensure I don’t overwrite the Windoze partitions?
No, the standard install will resize your Windows partition if
necessary, but won't overwrite it.
3. If I turn off PnP (as I saw suggested in a recent post), will my PnP stuff still work in Windoze?
Yes; the two systems are completely independent.
