It's running. After looking at this issue again, I realized that I had no notification at all under Debian, where there is no partmon. However, under Mandrake, I get messages saying that the drive is full, but cp keeps going, leaving 0 length files. Not much better. It would be nice if partmon would stop cp and delete the last partial file created.
