I haven't tried it to see if it works. I did try to do the tip about the transparent panels, but got far too complex for me to deal with (I'm still fairly new in the Linux world), so I decided not to mess with things, and leave them as they are. Perhaps someone else out there has gotten things working with it, and can help shed some light on it for you.
