1. The download was faulty - happens! 2. The burning process was faulty - also happens! For 1, the site you downloaded from should also have a small text file which contains md5 checksums for the iso files you downloaded. Download this then use the md5sum command to check the integrity of the downloaded files. If this checks out ensure firstly that you burned an image rather than just burning a copy of the iso. Your CDs should have a number of files and folders rather than just one large file. If all the above is OK, try burning at a slower speed. HTH Brian
