Open up xmms. Click on the top left hand corner to get a menu and select options > Preferences. The first tab is Audio I/O Plugins. The default installation puts CD Audio Player in. If you have AudioCD Reader installed it will show there. > Where did you get the cdread you mention below ? If it doesn't show, use your installer to get xmms-cdread from your Mandrake disks. When it is installed, go back the plugins in xmms as above, click on CD Audio Player, then uncheck the 'enable plugin'. Click on AudioCD Reader and enable it. Done Anne
