Hi, I got some problem to fix. I installed ML 9 on my new QDI PlatiniX 2E motherboard. I did it on my secondary HD, a 40Gb Seagate. On primary there's a 20Gb HD with win98.
The problem is that when Linux loads there's a message sayin' that device 00:01.f is not available due to conflict of resources. That device corresponds to my IDE interface. Linux works, but extremely slow. I can't burn CD's at 12x (and I do in Windows)and OpenOffice.org doen't open (I thougt that was due to a kinda timeout, but I'll try the solution posted here). When I do hdparm /dev/hda and /dev/hdb I see that's there's no DMA activated, nor 32 bits transferences. When I try hdparm -d1 /dev/hdb or hdparm -c1 /dev/hdb there's an error sayin' that that's an operation not permitted. When I cat /proc/interrupts or cat /proc/DMA there's no conflicts, and when I tried to see the drivers installed for my PCI interfaces (That's the way linux sees my IDE interface) I see that the driver is unknown. Any suggestions... ===== __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com
