Here's a great resolution to the issue: (mind you, it's Sunday morning and I'm full of piss and vinegar) 1.) When the "computer user" wants to completely shut down the worksation, server, it is advisable that the "computer user" protect themselves from further carpal tunnel damage by merely removing the black power cable from the back of the computer. 2.) Somewhat easier is for the "computer user" to physically kick the plug-strip away from the wall - which greatly reduces the risk of electric shock. 3.) Remove the fuse in the fuse box for that particular power point. Kill switches are also good, but require at least some electronic knowledge. 4.)
