I wouldn't be concerned if this was all a normal clean set of installs. It isn't.
I acquired WinXP today, and decided to give it a go as well. I'm trying to see if it will suit my g/f's needs, as Win98 doesn't. And don't suggest linux, she won't go for it. Shrugs.
Anyway, how may I install XP w/out fucking over my new MDK install & my old Win2k installation which is working flawlessly for once? Is there a nice & easy way to do this? I have a third party partitioning program, though I doubt I'll need it as I have set aside 10 GB for the OS already long ago.
Problem: It is a logical partition and is on a totally different drive. Now I know Winfucksme likes to redo your MBR w/out asking & without any prompting. Lovely... so how can I fix that afterwards? LILO is the boot manager right now, and it works fine. Win2k is getting along nicely & I want to keep it that way.
Am I playing with fire even thinking this can work?!
Thx
